Hopes Fulfilled

Doris had a son in Special Education. Many appointments made her apartment search difficult. However, she kept working at her job, kept a very clean apartment, and finally moved into a NYCHA apartment.

Camille almost lost her children because of a drug problem. She entered a program which she still attends. She has one daughter in public and one in St. Martin's. She received a certificate from her program and maintains a positive attitude.

Carmen's story was in Random Family by A. LeBlanc. She won a national employee award. She spoke at some of the book signings Ms. LeBlanc held in New York City.

Tamika came to us with a college degree and is now working as an administrative assistant at another homeless shelter.

Jyoncara has four young children. She went back to school and became a certified Nursing Assitant. Now she works at Notre Dame Nursing Home.
